Normal weight gain during pregnancy involves eating a properly balanced diet of proteins, carbohydrates, and good fats &#8211; do this right and it will help your body stay in shape and assist in the best possible fetal development. Try to remember that weight loss after childbirth is a lot more difficult than it was before you were pregnant. Make sure you stretch your neck by dropping the chin and slowly rotating your head both clockwise and counterclockwise. Don&#8217;t rush it &#8211; concentrate on feeling the muscles pull and try to go a little further each time. Stretch your shoulders by rolling them forward and upward toward your ears, then downward and back. Rotate each your arms at the sockets, both forward and backward. Flex and stretch your legs, and rotate your ankles and wrists. If done correctly stretching should take 10-15 minutes on its own.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">* Pilates &#8211; If you&#8217;ve never tried Pilates, I&#8217;d highly recommend you take a beginner&#8217;s class while pregnant. The flexibility and exercise benefits are great, but Pilates will also teach you important breathing techniques that you&#8217;ll find extremely useful during labor, childbirth, and beyond.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">* Swimming &#8211; Many pregnant women take up swimming. Why? Mainly because of it&#8217;s a totally non-impact style of workout. Swimming exercises the entire body at once, is great cardio, and helps oxygenate and stretch the muscles. It&#8217;s also a ton of fun. Check your local pool for a water aerobics class; you&#8217;ll be inspired to go each day and you&#8217;ll make some friends in the process.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">* Walking &#8211; One of the best ways to get out of the house! Pregnancy can really coop you up, so get out and walk around. Not only do you get new scenery and fresh air, it&#8217;s also great for your body. Start off with small walks to see how you feel before going on longer ones. And make sure you&#8217;ve got comfortable sneakers. Pregnancy posture is important in helping keep your back pain-free, to say nothing of blistered feet.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">* Running &#8211; If you&#8217;re a runner, you can still run. This is especially good news, because many people who&#8217;ve taken up running are usually addicted to it in one way or another. Be very aware of how you feel while running, and never let yourself become exhausted or gasping for breath. In your third trimester, be mindful of how you feel and consult your doctor &#8211; he or she you may want to slow down or switch to walking.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">* Yoga &#8211; Similar to Pilates, Yoga can help with stretching and breathing. It can also teach you mental techniques vital to putting yourself in a good frame of mind. Being calm, peaceful, and relaxed are all healthy benefits to you and your baby. But in Yoga there may be certain exercise positions you should avoid while pregnant, so as with Pilates always consult an instructor first.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">Exercise can either be your best friend or your worst enemy. Here is some food for thought if you are struggling with starting an exercise program during your pregnancy.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">==&gt; The Good.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">You need to exercise during pregnancy. You need to gently stretch and stay as flexible as possible. This can make a huge difference in the quality of your delivery and recovery.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">I know. I&#8217;ve had four full time pregnancies and I&#8217;ve experienced firsthand the difference staying flexible can make. Exercise also keeps your body working at a higher efficiency rate which will help you sleep better and improve your digestion, two things not to be taken lightly during pregnancy.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">The difference exercise during pregnancy can make for your post-partum recovery is amazing. Again, I can tell you from firsthand experience, that a comfortable and reasonable fitness routine (simple walking is terrific) can help your body &#8216;snap back&#8217; like nothing else.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">Physical exercise has been shown to improve moods. Girlfriend, we know how to have moods when we&#8217;re pregnant, don&#8217;t we? Enough said.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">And don&#8217;t forget this vital point. A healthier mom means a healthier baby. How can you argue with that?</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">==&gt; The Bad.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">Exercise performed during pregnancy is different than exercise at other times. You&#8217;ve got to be extra-sensitive to your body needs. You&#8217;ve got to go slower and be willing to stop sooner. You must be willing to be flexible in your choice of exercise, too. If you like to run, you probably won&#8217;t be able to keep that up your entire pregnancy. Of course, that choice will be between you and your doctor.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">Still, all those points have a silver lining. A great exercise for pregnancy is swimming. And hey, no one cares what you look like in a bathing suit! In fact, being pregnant is a wonderful time to celebrate the beauty of your body. Take advantage, buy a cute suit, and head for the water.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">An additional safety point to consider when you exercise is not to overheat. I&#8217;ve experienced this, as well, and it is not fun. I was only fourteen weeks pregnant, but the weather was hot and humid. I was playing horseshoes (hardly an aerobic sport), but after a short time I was feeling terrible. The people around me were commenting on how flushed I looked. When I went inside it took a very long time for me to cool down, much longer than normal.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">So be careful. Exercise during pregnancy is meant to benefit you and your baby, but that means it needs to be moderate and regulated. Save the Olympics for later.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">==&gt; The Ugly.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">You&#8217;re pregnant. You feel sick. You&#8217;re tired. Exercise?? Are you crazy?</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">It&#8217;s true. Even the most die-hard fitness gal often finds motivation for exercise during her pregnancy much more difficult. So if you are not a regular exerciser, you&#8217;re wondering how you can possibly pull this off. Even if you know it&#8217;s very important to your health and your baby&#8217;s well-being, it can be hard to simply get started.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">The number one recommendation I can give you is to not to do this on your own. It&#8217;s just too big of a leap during this season in your life. The great news is you have some excellent options that can make your exercise time downright fun.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">Look for an exercise system or group specifically designed for pregnant women. (For a detailed review of such a system, see the author&#8217;s resource box following this article.) Look for one that gives abundant support. This is crucial! You need to be in regular contact with other exercising pregnant women. This will give you the motivation you need to keep up your exercise program even when you don&#8217;t feel like it.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">Let&#8217;s face it. You&#8217;ll need someplace to vent and share openly about your pregnancy experiences. An exercise group of other moms-to-be could be a very, very helpful thing to you. I highly recommend it.</p>

The neural tube that connects the brain and the spinal cord closes. An ultrasound of the embryo will show that its upper and lower limb buds begin to grow. Nostrils can be distinctly made out and so can the eye&#8217;s retina.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><strong>Changes In The Woman</strong><br />
Most pregnant women experience early symptoms of pregnancy. Some pregnant women experience their first bouts of morning sickness. Strong smells can bring about this nauseating feeling in pregnant women.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">Sore and sensitive breast is another common symptom that most 5 weeks pregnant women experience. The rising hormone levels inside the body are the reason behind this sensitivity. Once the hormone levels stabilize, the sensitivity also diminishes.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">The rise in the hormone levels also leads to fuller breasts. Extra milk glands and blood will start forming in the breasts. These changes prepare the breasts for feeding the coming baby.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">5 weeks pregnant women also urinate frequently. This symptom is very common in the first and last trimester of the pregnancy. In the first trimester it is due to hormonal changes. In the last trimester, the growing uterus shrinks the bladder, thereby limiting the capacity of the bladder. On top of this, in the last trimester women produce more urine and thus need to go to the bathroom more often.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">At this stage of the first trimester, pregnant women start feeling tired more often and are often sleepy throughout the day. There nothing to worry about, because this is just your body telling you that you need to take more rest. It is important to take rest, because it promotes the healthy growing of the embryo.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">Increase in appetite, rise in basal temperature and metallic taste in the mouth are some of the other symptoms experienced by pregnant women at this stage of pregnancy. Recognizing these symptoms is very important. Moreover, it is also important to recognize the warning signs in pregnancy.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><strong>Warning Signs</strong><br />
Some of the warning signs in early pregnancy include:</p>

<li>You feel that something is not right</li>
<li>Fever</li>
<li>Severe headache</li>
<li>Increase in thirst but with little or no urination</li>
<li>Severe vomiting</li>
